How Naranjo Roses and Ecuador’s Ministry of Women are Leading the Way
How Naranjo Roses and Ecuador’s Ministry of Women are Leading the Way
Quito, Ecuador – April 25, 2025 – A milestone for social impact and inclusive development was achieved as Naranjo Roses, through its initiative Blooming Together, signed a groundbreaking cooperation agreement with the Ministry of Women and Human Rights of Ecuador, led by Minister Arianna Tanca.
Taking place in the heart of Cotopaxi, this event marked the beginning of a collaborative framework to create safe, empowering spaces for women and communities through education, awareness, and economic opportunity.
Furthermore, the agreement was signed by Minister Tanca and Maryluz Naranjo, President of Naranjo Roses, in the presence of key authorities, including Governor Nelson Sánchez Figueroa.
The signed agreement sets forth two core objectives:
Preventing gender-based violence by implementing specialized training programs and awareness campaigns.
Providing women in agriculture programs and related trades to promote economic autonomy for women, and underserved populations in the region.
If you’re looking to embrace this beautiful tradition, our yellow rose varieties—including Brighton, Goldfinch, Regatta, Super Sun, and Bumblebee—are perfect for celebrating Día de las Diosas Amarillas.
Their vibrant hues and exceptional quality make them the ideal choice to brighten someone’s day and participate in this growing global trend.

In Ecuador, women make up over half of the floriculture workforce. At Naranjo Roses, 51% of employees are women—many leading their households and communities.
Through Blooming Together, the company supports their growth with leadership workshops, health programs, and now, vocational training in partnership with the Ministry.
We believe that the beauty of a rose should reflect the dignity of the hands that cultivated it. With this agreement, we take another step toward social sustainability that blossoms from within.
Maryluz Naranjo
This agreement not only reaffirms the Ecuadorian government’s commitment to inclusive development, but also highlights the role of private companies like Naranjo Roses in accelerating that mission.
As a result, the Ministry and Naranjo Roses will work together to roll out these initiatives in phases, prioritizing high-impact areas within Cotopaxi and gradually expanding the program’s reach to other regions.
Moreover, the Blooming Together framework aligns with national goals to promote gender equality, eliminate violence, and improve women’s access to employment—particularly in rural and agricultural areas.
Cultivating roses that sow gender equity. Through each flower, we promote the development of women workers in the floriculture sector with our Floreciendo Juntas program.
